The image is 262 origami cranes, 10 made from gold paper, flying into and out of a rich-looking red velvet purse. The white cranes are made from paper store receipts. Looks are deceiving. The canvas is re-used, the purse is thrifted, the gold is just paper and the ink on the receipts will fade with time as will the purchased they represent. The hidden treasure is time — time spent folding, time spent cooking and sharing meals, time spent caring for family.
