Houston legend, David Adickes has dallied with Dali and partied with Picasso, while Marthann Masterson has boogied with Bush (GHW), and jammed with Jagger. Oh, the books that they could fill! Their “chapters” are documented on canvas, and new and historic are coming together to delight your senses at the May 1 opening!

Life has its twists, turns, and roads less traveled, and both Adickes and Masterson created art that tells rich stories of their respective decades working in and around the arts and culture scene.

No matter where life takes us, our experiences, stories, family, and friends keep us “rooted,” stable, and knowing that home is where the heart is. As we, as a community, reemerge from these challenging times, Adickes and Masterson share works that allude to both history (“rootedness”) and and a bright, color-filled future (“renewal”).
