This piece celebrates the strength and endurance of an entire people that is necessary to achieve complete and absolute freedom. The blue floor towel patterns in the background represent the federal government and the class it attempts to place a particular group of people into. The Mandala around the subject’s head represents the mental and spiritual power being trusted against the system. The red glove represents the power of the ancestors depicted in the Adinkra symbol Gye Nyame which means the Omnipotence of God.
