Dantrel’s work is an explosion of colors and concepts inspired by his life experiences. He was born and raised in a historically Black neighborhood affectionately called “Stop Six” in the Southeast area of Fort Worth Texas. Dantrel graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior High School in 1988.
In 1989 He decided to attend The Dr. John Biggers School of Art at Texas Southern University in Houston TX. Professors like Harvey Johnson and Prof. Renfro helped shape Dantrel’s views on Art and African culture thus laying the artistic path that he’d walk for decades to come.
Dantrel is also a member of the world-renowned mural team known as Reginald Adams and The Creatives. The team created the  Juneteenth National Monument known as Absolute Equality in Galveston and recently the Absolute Equality Mural in Fourth Ward Houston.
